Other suspected puppy mills have been found in Delaware County, OK. In September, four dogs were rescued from an abandoned shack in a rural area of Delaware County.
The Labrador retrievers were near death when they were found. They had been abandoned with no food and water.
It was suspected they were part of a puppy mill, authorities said.
Oklahoma is second in the country in the number of puppy mills, said Linda Miller, Grove Humane Society president, adding that a rural area like Delaware County is an ideal place to set up a puppy mill.
